Gemini Spark

Gemini Spark is Google’s always-on agentic AI assistant, announced at Google I/O 2026 on May 19, 2026. Built on Gemini base models combined with the agentic harness from Google Antigravity, Spark is designed to run long-running tasks in the background on dedicated virtual machines in Google Cloud — meaning it can keep working even when your laptop is closed.

Key features

• Email-driven workflow – Spark gets its own dedicated Gmail address. You assign tasks by sending it an email; it replies when the work is done.
• Always-on, cloud-native – Runs on dedicated VMs on Google Cloud, so it executes around the clock without tying up your device.
• Browses the web – Uses Chrome to navigate websites, fill out forms, and complete multi-step tasks autonomously.
• Deep Workspace integration – Pulls context from Gmail, Google Docs, and other Google Workspace apps with no manual setup.
• MCP connectors – Rolling out support for third-party services via the Model Context Protocol: Adobe, Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, HubSpot, Intuit, Monday, Pandora, Spotify, and Wix.
• Powered by Gemini – Built on Google’s latest Gemini models, including the new Gemini 3.5 generation unveiled alongside it.

Availability

Available exclusively through the Google AI Ultra subscription for $100 per month. Initially rolled out to trusted testers, with beta access for U.S. Google AI Ultra subscribers shortly after launch.
